Winter Trees Pack - 32 Snowy Trees + 60 m Snowy Ground

Description

Let the snow fall on your world with this pack of 32 winter trees covered in fresh snow: two apple trees, two oaks, two cherry trees and two maples, each in four bark tones, delivered on a 60 m round ground plate under a blanket of snow. The snow is not painted on: it is a real, soft layer shaped on every tree, resting along the top of the branches, thick on the large forks and thinning out toward the twigs, with rounded edges like freshly fallen snow. Under the sun or the moonlight it sparkles with tiny glints, the way snow crystals catch the light on a frosty morning, while the dark bark beneath sharpens every silhouette. Each of the eight trees comes in four bark tints: the original, a cool grey, a warm brown and a dark tone. Plant them around a Christmas market, a chalet, a frozen lake or a winter village, and your visitors will almost hear the crunch of snow under their feet. The ground plate completes the winter scene: fresh snow with soft drifts and bluish hollows in the shade, golden straw showing through where the snow thins out, and a few spots of dark earth, blended in soft organic shapes. Avatars walk on it and their steps sound like snow. Use the plate as it is, scale it up to cover a whole valley, or change the repetition of each layer of its material. You can also copy its material and paste it onto your own grounds, hills or paths, so your whole world shares the same snow. ________________________________________ One Series, Five Seasons: This pack is one of five. The same eight trees in four tints, on the same grid and with the same 60 m ground plate, exist in every season: • Spring Trees Pack: tender young leaves and a fresh spring lawn • Summer Trees Pack: dense mature foliage and a summer lawn with sun-dried patches • Fall Trees Pack: multicolored autumn foliage and a ground covered with fallen leaves • Winter Trees Pack (this pack): snow on every branch and a snowy ground with patches of golden straw • Bare Trees Pack: leafless branches and a warm straw ground of late autumn Because the five packs share the same grid, you can swap one for another and let a place change season without redrawing it. ________________________________________ Technical Details: Trees • 32 trees: 8 models (2 apple, 2 oak, 2 cherry, 2 maple) x 4 bark tints • Modeled snow on the branches with a sparkling glint material • Same silhouettes as my Bare trees: swap them to bring the snow in or out without changing your layout • Delivered as one collection: the 32 trees in a neat grid on their ground plate. Place it, then move each tree wherever you like • Simple trunk collisions: avatars bump into the trunks and walk freely under the branches • Heights from 5.2 m to 7.5 m • About 1.5K to 9K triangles per tree; bark 512 px • Default draw distance of 256 m (adjustable) Ground plate • 60 m round plate, 162 triangles, walkable collision, footsteps sound like snow • Three-layer ground material (fresh snow, golden straw and earth) blended by organic zones, with detail maps for a fine grain up close; maps up to 1024 px, detail maps 512 px • Sits 4 mm above the pivot of the pack: placed on your own ground, it covers it without flickering • To cover more ground: scale the plate up, then multiply the three Uv Scales values of its material by the same factor (x2 for a 120 m plate) to keep the snow at its natural size; the details follow • To change the look: Uv Scales sets the size of each layer (X, Y, Z = layers 1, 2, 3) and Detail Scale the fine grain inside it; keep the three values a little different from each other, so the tiles do not line up • To use it elsewhere: select the plate and use Copy all material, then select your own surface and use Paste all material. The textures are shared, so there is nothing more to load.
